Is this real life? Patrick Kane is signing on with the Detroit Red Wings per ESPN sources.
Nine-time All-Star Kane spent the first 16 years of his NHL career with the Chicago Blackhawks and was traded to the New York Rangers last spring. It seems he's revigorated and ready to return to the ice after his hip resurfacing surgery six months ago.
While he recovered from surgery and went through rehab, he met with several teams. Sources say he humbly wanted to earn his spot on a team. It seems Kane was impressed by the Red Wings while they're rebuilding from a seven-year playoff drought. "Trust the Yzerplan!" Another bonus, Kane will be reunited with Alex DeBrincat, one of his favorite past teammates from Chicago.
WELCOME TO HOCKEYTOWN Patrick! 🏒🐙🔥
