Unpopular opinion that some football fans choke on.... We're going to go ahead and say the Chiefs games Taylor Swift attends will undoubtedly increase the NFL's profits, attendance, and fanbase, especially at Arrowhead. The 'Swift Effect' is a boon to football. Since Swift's Kansas City Chiefs vs. Bears game appearance, they've experienced a nearly triple sales increase in a 24-hour timeframe for Chiefs home games on StubHub.
The recent Jets ticket sales soared for the game against the Chiefs, this last Sunday. Sales in a single day doubled the previous record for this season, except for the team's opening game day which marked the debut of Jets star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, according to StubHub.
Per Roku digital streaming device-maker, the largest demographic increase for the Chiefs-Bears game was among women ages 18-49, rising by 63%. This is despite the NFL already having close to 50% female audience.
'Swift Effect' Chief's Game-Wins Prediction
We're predicting Taylor is the team's winning energy this year, as long as she and Travis Kelce are still in the fun phase of dating. So far, the Chiefs have won both games she attended. Let's have some fun! We'll keep and keep an updated scorecard on this theory.

Keep in mind, Taylor Swift will resume her Eras Tour dates on Nov. 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She'll tour South America through the end of the month. In February, she'll resume in Japan. We'll see how Chiefs' games 11 (Mon, Nov 20 vs. Philadelphia) & 12 (Sun, Nov 26 @ Las Vegas) go, as they'll be Swiftless.
Bestie for Brittany Prediction
Who will benefit the most from this Swift-Kelce relationship? Brittany Mahomes. We're going to take a wild guess that Taylor and Brittany will become Besties. They'll spend plenty of time together while they share the excitement of watching their guys play football. Additionally, with Taylor bringing her famous friends, Brittany's mom-life is about to become more celeb-life as they spend the night on the town after games.
[NEW NOTE - 10/22/23] Notice how Taylor and Brittany's outfits coordinate each game they attend together? Sure, the team colors are red & gold, but they are both wearing black this week.
There will certainly be an A-list entourage with each game Taylor attends. She brought Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Sophie Turner, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski to see Travis Kelce's Chiefs game against New York Jets.
Whether we're right or wrong... it doesn't matter. What we DO know is, the 'Swift Effect' has made a difference in the NFL. Her attendance has grabbed the attention of her Swifties and they're taking interest in the sport. She's managed to make the game intriguing for many who had little to no interest before. Horizons are being broadened and new life-long fans are being created. Love her or hate her, 'everything has changed.'
For those of you who wish this to end
The NFL appears to be pleased that Taylor is drawing in the younger crowds and women. Per USA Today, Ian Trombetta, a senior vice president of social and influencer marketing for the NFL, said he extended the invitation to Swift on behalf of the NFL. "She’s invited to any game that she wants to come to," he said. "It's an open invitation."
This is PR the NFL could only DREAM of and never create... You bet they're going to run with it as long as they can!
